Who's in charge???
(good question...no one really knows!)
We are a group of like minded individuals who happen to love the Ukulele! Uke University was started by Stu Herreid
fine little instrument we affectionately call the "ooke." Since our initial meeting of 5-6 "ukesters, we have grown to approx 90+ attendance
at our monthly jam.
Here is a brief biography of the leadership
team at Uke University:

Ukulele lover, full time music teacher at
two locations here in the Sacramento area:
1) The Strum Shop
2) Sierra Community College
Self proclaimed "Ukevangelist", Stu's easy going manner and stellar voice (NOT!) will keep you wanting to play your uke 24/7

Budd Snell: Hombre # 2
Budd is our "Ukebassador", always greeting people and helping spread the joy of the ukulele at each meeting. He is also BIG part of our Ukes For Schools program.
Budd is a umongus help in running Uke University.

Arthur Hopkins: Big, Bald, and Beautiful!
Arthur is a local uke player whose enthusiasm for the uke will win you over. Always an inspiration, Arthur recently merged his uke club, 'Sacramento Ukes and Stuff," with Uke University. Together, we hope to make the ukulele more of a household name than it already is!
Unfortunately for us, Arthur has moved to Southern Ca. to pursue his education. We will miss him terribly! In honor of Arthur and all he has brought to Uke U, we are leaving his Bio up on our site. Love ya big man...

Nicole Kline Smith: Singer Extraordinaire!Nicole is a local Music Teacher whose love for music and the ukulele is unparalled. Here is a picture with her brand new "Pineapple Uke." She is also a fantastic singer, someone we always count on to help us get the tunes started right at our monthly meetings.

Linda Miller: Just wants to have FUN!
Another uke enthusiast who wants to help spread the "love of the uke" to anyone who will listen. Linda is in charge of getting our new Uke University Songbook together. Linda has been playing for approximately 2 years.
